Television star and beloved food writer Megan McKenna, author of the best-selling Love Gluten Free, tied the knot with Scottish footballer Oliver Burke of Werder Bremen in a dreamy, love-filled ceremony.
Megan and Oliver’s love story began when they were introduced through mutual friends, sparking an instant connection. By February 2023, the pair had officially started dating, and just two months later, they went public with their romance, sharing a sweet photo from a dreamy trip to Paris. Their whirlwind love only grew stronger, and in June 2023, barely five months into their relationship, Oliver proposed to Megan during a romantic boat trip in Montenegro. The couple soon began building a beautiful life together, later welcoming their baby boy, a perfect new chapter in their ever-blossoming love story.

THE CHAMPAGNE TOWER MOMENT. Megan and Oliver kicked off the celebrations with a dazzling champagne tower, a sparkling centrepiece for their wedding festivities. Surrounded by friends and family, they poured the first glasses together, toasting to their love and the start of their new life as a married couple.
LET THEM HAVE CAKE. The couple’s wedding cake was a show-stopping seven-tier masterpiece, blending Italian and vintage styles with exquisite craftsmanship. Each 7-inch-deep tier was covered in smooth marshmallow fondant and adorned with intricate royal icing, delicate piping, and moulded ornaments that echoed the cake’s elegant theme. Every detail was carefully curated, making the seven-tiered creation not just a dessert, but a stunning centrepiece that perfectly complemented the romance and sophistication of the day.

THE BRIDESMAIDS wore custom-made dresses by Peter Langner, inspired by Megan’s second gown and crafted in warm, chocolate-hued silk mikado, a surprising yet beautifully harmonious choice that perfectly complemented the wedding’s overall aesthetic. The flower bouquets featured a lavish display of roses and hydrangeas.
THE BRIDE graced the aisle in two bespoke couture creations by Peter Langner, crafted exclusively for her and her bridesmaids.
FOR THE CEREMONY, Megan stunned in a silk mikado gown with a romantic princess silhouette, featuring a voluminous pleated skirt, sweeping train, and a structured bodice with delicate exposed boning, embellished with hand-embroidered macramé lace roses. Her look was completed with a dramatic cathedral-length veil, adorned with appliqués of three French Chantilly laces that blended seamlessly in a graceful degradé effect.
FOR THE EVENING CELEBRATION, Megan changed into a second gown with understated elegance: a silk duchess satin column dress with a square neckline, delicate shoulder straps, and a flowing pleated overskirt that trailed gracefully at the back.
